National Merit Finalist Award Scholarship

Each year the National Merit Scholarship Program names around 15,000 high school seniors as finalists in its competition that highlights a student’s exceptional academic ability and potential for success in college studies.  As recognition for this honor, a $3,000 National Merit Finalist Award Scholarship is awarded to any incoming freshman who has been named as a National Merit Finalist for that year.  This scholarship is in addition to the academic scholarship that the student receives.  This award is renewable for an additional three consecutive years provided recipients maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA after their freshman year and a 3.25 cumulative GPA thereafter.
